Conditions may include neck and shoulder hypertonicity, lower and thoracic back tightness, calf and foot tension, quadriceps tightness from muscle imbalance and the like. A regular sports massage for athletes ensures optimum performance, and deep tissue massage for ongoing maintenance of active or sedentary bodies is the best way to maintain pain free and healthy muscle tissue.

CuppingCupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. Air is taken out of the cup to create a vacuum, so when it’s placed on the body, will draw it up into the cup. The cups can be made of glass, bamboo, earthenware or silicone.
Cupping might be trendy now, but it’s not new. It dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. One of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, the Ebers Papyrus, describes how the ancient Egyptians used cupping therapy in 1,550 B.C. |
Deep Tissue MassageDeep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissues. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also knows as "adhesions").

Relaxation MassageRelaxation massage is essentially the same as a gentle Swedish massage that uses smooth, gliding strokes. The primary purpose will be to help you relax, and the massage therapist will probably move at a slower pace and use light pressure.

The other is when you ask the therapist to concentrate on a specific area during the full-length massage.
